The Mercury Baypark site houses a number of spacious outdoor areas that can be hired alone or utilised alongside the indoor event spaces. From the concreted asphalt carpark and plaza to the various grass training fields, there are outdoor options to suit any event.
Located between Mercury Arena and Mercury Stadium is a large 22,000m² asphalt car park. Whilst primarily used for parking, this space can also be transformed for concerts, trade shows and other events where an outdoor area is required. It is a prime spot for food trucks, large activations and outdoor practice zones for various sports. Fencing can be used to organise the car park into a configuration that works for you. This space is also used as the pit-crew area for Speedway, Drifting and other racing events held at Mercury Stadium.
The Arena Plaza is situated at the eastern end of Mercury Baypark. The 700m2 courtyard is capable of hosting small performances, cocktail parties, team building sessions and acting as a breakout space for conference attendees to enjoy the fresh air and a bite to eat. Overlooking the plaza is a wonderful pou “Tamaphore” carved by local artist Dean Flavell.
